End-to-end design of the MPC Wallet, the official wallet for Partisia Blockchain, created to securely manage MPC tokens and bridged assets and to interact with dApps built on Partisia Blockchain.
The project focused on simplifying complex blockchain mechanics by translating Partisia-specific concepts (execution capacity, BYOC-based fees) into a user-friendly and secure wallet that aligns with established industry patterns and remains accessible to non-technical users.

Goals
Secure asset management & exchange compatibility Design a secure and intuitive wallet for managing the native MPC token and bridged BYOC assets on Partisia Blockchain, while supporting MPC listings on centralized exchanges through clear and reliable send and receive flows.
Simplifying Partisia Blockchain-specific mechanics Simplify Partisia Blockchain–specific mechanics (execution capacity and BYOC-based fees) into accessible UI patterns.
Familiarity through industry standards Align the wallet experience with established industry patterns to reduce the learning curve for users transitioning from other crypto wallets.
Optimized for browser extension Optimize usability within the constraints of a browser extension environment.
Challenges
Non-standard gas and fee model Partisia Blockchain does not use the native MPC token for gas. Fees are paid using BYOC tokens and expressed as execution capacity, requiring careful UX decisions to avoid misleading balances or confusing fee representations.
Balancing simplicity and transparency The wallet needed to remain accessible to average users while still exposing sufficient information for advanced users and developers through progressive disclosure.
Security-critical interaction design Designing send flow and approve transaction and connection screens required clear intent signaling and explicit user decisions, while avoiding unnecessary warnings.
Browser extension constraints Limited screen real estate required prioritizing information hierarchy, reducing visual noise, and ensuring critical actions and feedback remained visible and understandable at all times.
Outcomes
A complete, production-ready wallet design aligned with Partisia Blockchain’s unique mechanics and technical constraints.
Successful MPC listings on multiple centralized exchanges, supported by reliable wallet performance and clear send and receive flows.
Clear UX patterns for execution capacity and BYOC-based fees, reducing user confusion around balances and transaction costs.
Familiar, industry-standard home, send, and receive flows that lower onboarding friction for users transitioning from other crypto wallets.
A scalable design foundation and UI kit designed to support future features and product evolution.
When I joined the Partisia Blockchain, the wallet already existed in a technically functional state. However, it was built as a developer-first interface, exposing low-level blockchain concepts directly in the UI, with little consideration for information hierarchy, visual clarity, or usability for non-technical users.
This project resulted in a production-ready wallet that translates Partisia Blockchain’s unique mechanics into clear, easy-to-understand interactions. By focusing on minimal and scalable UI foundations, intent-driven flows, and real-time validation, the MPC Wallet balances security and usability within the constraints of a browser extension.
